For the third consecutive year, the global market recorded growth in overseas shipments of optical fibers and bundles, which increased by X% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, exports posted a strong expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X%. The global exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
In value terms, optical fiber and bundle exports soared to $X in 2022. In general, total exports indicated prominent growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2020 indices. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Exports by Country
India represented the major exporting country with an export of about X tons, which reached X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by China (X tons), comprising a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Japan (X tons) and the United States (X tons) - each recorded a X% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to optical fiber and bundle exports from India stood at X%. At the same time, China (X%) displayed positive paces of growth.
