Imports into Ghana

In 2022, purchases abroad of vaccines for human medicine decreased by X% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2021, and then shrank markedly in the following year.

In value terms, vaccine imports declined dramatically to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw buoyant growth.
