Exports from Ghana

Cows skin exports from Ghana soared to X kg in 2019, with an increase of X% compared with the year before. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2019, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, cows skin exports soared to $X in 2019. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced descent. From 2012 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (X%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2022, the amount of raw hides and skins of bovine animals imported into Ghana expanded significantly to X tons, growing by X% compared with the previous year. Over the period under review, imports recorded a resilient increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.
