Pulses Market Size in Ghana

The Ghanian pulses market expanded modestly to $X in 2022, increasing by X% against the previous year. Overall, consumption, however, saw a noticeable decrease. Pulses Exports

Exports from Ghana

In 2022, pulses exports from Ghana contracted dramatically to X tons, which is down by X% against 2021 figures. Overall, exports, however, showed a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The exports peaked at X tons in 2021, and then reduced sharply in the following year.

In value terms, pulses exports shrank rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, enjoyed a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2021, and then shrank significantly in the following year.

Exports by Country

The UK (X tons) was the main destination for pulses exports from Ghana, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, pulses exports to the UK exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the United States (X tons), fourfold. Italy (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.

Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
