The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Spain (X tons), Colombia (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main destinations of frozen fish and seafood exports from Ghana, with a combined X% share of total exports. Portugal, Turkey and the United States lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in the United States (with a CAGR of +X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Spain ($X) remains the key foreign market for frozen fish and seafood exports from Ghana, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Colombia ($X), with an X% share of total exports. It was followed by Italy, with a X% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Spain totaled +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Colombia (+X% per year) and Italy (-X% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the average frozen fish and seafood export price amounted to $X per ton, surging by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a perceptible reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 an increase of X% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Portugal ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a noticeable reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, frozen fish and seafood imports declined to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a noticeable curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

China (X tons), Chile (X tons) and Japan (X tons) were the main suppliers of frozen fish and seafood imports to Ghana, with a combined X% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Ecuador, Norway, the Netherlands, Spain, Argentina, France, New Zealand and Oman, which together accounted for a further X 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Ecuador (with a CAGR of +X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest frozen fish and seafood suppliers to Ghana were Japan ($X), Chile ($X) and China ($X), with a combined X% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Norway, Ecuador, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Argentina, New Zealand and Oman, which together accounted for a further X terms of the main suppliers, Ecuador, with a CAGR of +X%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of X%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was France ($X per ton), while the price for China ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+X%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
