Over the period under review, imports posted significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 227% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, melon seed imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports saw a strong expansion.
