Exports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses from Germany amounted to X tons in 2018, rising by X% against the previous year. In general, exports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses, however, continue to indicate a measured shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, exports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses reached their maximum at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2018, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, exports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses totaled $X in 2018. Overall, the total exports indicated modest growth from 2007 to 2018: its value decreased at an average annual rate of -X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2018 figures, exports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses decreased by -X% against 2012 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2012 when exports increased by X% y-o-y. In that year, exports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses attained their peak of $X. From 2013 to 2018, the growth of exports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses failed to regain its momentum.

Exports by Country

Mexico (X tons) was the main destination for exports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses from Germany, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, exports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses to Mexico exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Turkey (X tons), twofold. Sweden (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Mexico stood at +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Turkey (+X% per year) and Sweden (-X% per year).

In value terms, Mexico ($X), Turkey ($X) and the UK ($X) constituted the largest markets for cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanides exported from Germany worldwide, with a combined X% share of total exports.

Among the main countries of destination, Turkey experienced the highest growth rate of exports, over the last eleven years, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2018, the average export price for cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses amounted to $X per ton, increasing by X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price indicated buoyant growth from 2007 to 2018: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2018 figures, export price for cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses decreased by -X% against 2013 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2012 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2018, export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2018, the country with the highest price was the U.S. ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Sweden ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Germany

Imports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses into Germany stood at X tons in 2018, declining by -X% against the previous year. In general, imports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses, however, continue to indicate skyrocketing growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2008 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, imports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses amounted to $X in 2018. In general, imports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses, however, continue to indicate a remarkable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, imports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses reached their peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2018, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2018, the Netherlands (X tons) constituted the largest cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanides supplier to Germany, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, imports of cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanideses from the Netherlands exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Czech Republic (X tons), threefold. Belgium (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from the Netherlands totaled +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the Czech Republic (+X% per year) and Belgium (+X% per year).

In value terms, the largest cyanides, cyanide oxides and complex cyanides suppliers to Germany were the Czech Republic ($X), the Netherlands ($X) and China ($X), together comprising X% of total imports.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic, while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.
