For the sixth consecutive year, Germany recorded growth in overseas shipments of transport containers, which increased by X% to X units in 2022. Over the period under review, exports saw a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when exports increased by X%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, transport container exports contracted to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a mild slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

The United Arab Emirates (X units), the United States (X units) and Austria (X units) were the main destinations of transport container exports from Germany, together comprising X% of total exports.
