In 2022, approx. X litres of wine and grape must were exported in GCC; reducing by X% compared with 2021 figures. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a temperate expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X litres in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, wine exports shrank markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, posted a moderate increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Exports by Country
The United Arab Emirates prevails in exports structure, finishing at X litres, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Bahrain (X litres), committing a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Saudi Arabia (X litres) and Kuwait (X litres) - together made up X% of total exports.
Exports from the United Arab Emirates increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Kuwait (X%) and Bahrain (X%) displayed positive paces of growth.
