The United Arab Emirates (X tons) and Saudi Arabia (X tons) were the key importers of plastic packaging in 2021, accounting for approx. 31% and 28% of total imports, respectively. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
