The level of import peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, Qatar (X tons) represented the largest importer of carob, generating X% of total imports. The United Arab Emirates (X tons) held a X% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Oman (X%), Saudi Arabia (X%) and Kuwait (X%).
