Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Germany (X units), Spain (X units) and the UK (X units) were the main destinations of calculator exports from France, with a combined 48% share of total exports. Poland, Belgium, Italy, New Caledonia, Denmark, the Netherlands, Mexico and Senegal lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 35%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by New Caledonia (with a CAGR of +44.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the key foreign market for calculator exports from France, comprising 44% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Poland ($X), with an 8.4% share of total exports. It was followed by Spain, with a 6.9% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value to Germany totaled +17.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Poland (+31.0% per year) and Spain (+9.3% per year).

Prices varied noticeably country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Mexico ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Imports peaked at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, calculator imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Imports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Germany (X units), the Netherlands (X units) and China (X units) were the main suppliers of calculator imports to France, with a combined 95% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in Germany (with a CAGR of +54.9%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
