The UK (X tonnes), Belgium (X tonnes) and the U.S. (X tonnes) were the main destinations of cocoa bean exports from France, with a combined X% share of total exports. Japan, Spain, Germany, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea and Portugal lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X 2007 to 2020, the biggest increases were in Japan, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the U.S. ($X), Japan ($X) and the UK ($X) constituted the largest markets for cocoa bean exported from France worldwide, with a combined X% share of total exports.

Japan saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average cocoa bean export price stood at $X per tonne in 2020, rising by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated strong growth from 2007 to 2020: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2020 figures, cocoa bean export price increased by +X% against 2018 indices. As a result, export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
