In 2022, shipments abroad of rabbit or hare meat decreased by X% to X tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend. Overall, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons, and then declined in the following year.
In value terms, rabbit meat exports shrank to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a slight decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Spain (X tons), distantly followed by Hungary (X tons), France (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the largest exporters of rabbit or hare meat, together generating X% of total exports. The Netherlands (X tons) and Poland (X tons) held a relatively small share of total exports.
