The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, pork imports rose markedly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, showed a perceptible curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by X%. The level of import peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
Italy (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Germany (X tons) represented roughly X% of total imports in 2022. Romania (X tons) held a X% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by the UK (X%), the Czech Republic (X%), the Netherlands (X%) and France (X%).
