In 2022, overseas shipments of polishes and creams for footwear or leather increased by X% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after five years of decline. Overall, exports, however, saw a noticeable setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, footwear treatments exports rose markedly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a mild reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Germany (X tons), followed by Spain (X tons), Poland (X tons), Austria (X tons), Italy (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons), France (X tons) and the Czech Republic (X tons) were the key exporters of polishes and creams for footwear or leather, together committing X% of total exports.
