While the share of Austria (+10 p.p.), Finland (+8.3 p.p.) and Italy (+4.4 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Sweden (-3.2 p.p.), Belgium (-5.3 p.p.) and Germany (-12.2 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Germany ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported granules, chippings and powder of marble in Europe, comprising 35% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Austria ($X), with a 9.8% share of total imports. It was followed by Finland, with a 9.2% share.

In Germany, marble granules and powder imports contracted by an average annual rate of -3.4% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Austria (+29.0% per year) and Finland (+21.4% per year).
