Poland represented the major exporting country with an export of around X tons, which recorded 35% of total exports. Italy (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Serbia (X tons), Spain (X tons), Germany (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons). All these countries together held near 43% share of total exports. Ukraine (X tons), France (X tons), Denmark (X tons), Russia (X tons), Portugal (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) took a minor share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to aluminium tube exports from Poland stood at +13.9%. At the same time, Belgium (+112.3%), Spain (+79.2%), Portugal (+69.9%), Serbia (+68.2%), France (+65.9%), Ukraine (+21.2%), Denmark (+11.5%), Germany (+11.2%) and the Netherlands (+6.8%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Belgium emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Europe, with a CAGR of +112.3% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Italy (-7.6%) and Russia (-13.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Poland, Italy, Serbia, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Denmark, Portugal and Belgium increased by +35, +13, +9, +7.5, +6.6, +5.9, +3.4, +3, +1.7 and +1.5 percentage points, respectively.
In value terms, the largest aluminium tube supplying countries in Europe were Poland ($X), Germany ($X) and Italy ($X), with a combined 52% share of total exports. The Netherlands, Spain, Serbia, Denmark, France, Ukraine, Russia, Belgium and Portugal lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 36%.
Among the main exporting countries, Spain, with a CAGR of +88.3%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, approximately mirroring the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a pronounced curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the export price increased by 16% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the maximum at $X per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while Ukraine ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Denmark (+33.2%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in Europe
In 2021, the amount of aluminium tubes and pipes imported in Europe reduced slightly to X tons, with a decrease of -3% against the previous year. In general, imports, however, saw a remarkable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 240% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then shrank in the following year.
In value terms, aluminium tube imports surged to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, recorded a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 251%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

The countries with the highest levels of aluminium tube imports in 2021 were the UK (X tons), France (X tons), Russia (X tons), Germany (X tons), Italy (X tons), Romania (X tons), Poland (X tons), Austria (X tons), Serbia (X tons), Spain (X tons), Bulgaria (X tons) and Belarus (X tons), together accounting for 83% of total import.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the key importing countries, was attained by Germany (with a CAGR of +65.1%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest aluminium tube importing markets in Europe were France ($X), the UK ($X) and Germany ($X), with a combined 33% share of total imports.
Among the main importing countries, Germany, with a CAGR of +73.9%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in Europe stood at $X per ton in 2021, rising by 21% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a noticeable contraction. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while Serbia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Romania (+53.0%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
