In 2020, after five years of growth, there was decline in overseas shipments of unwrought lead, when their volume decreased by -X% to X tons. Total exports indicated a slight increase from 2007 to 2020: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2019, and then contracted in the following year.

In value terms, unwrought lead exports fell modestly to $X in 2020. Total exports indicated modest growth from 2007 to 2020: its value increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2020 figures, exports decreased by -X% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, exports hit record highs at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2020, exports failed to regain the momentum.

The shipments of the four major exporters of unwrought lead, namely the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany and Belgium, represented more than two-thirds of total export. For the third year in a row, the European Union recorded growth in supplies from abroad of unwrought lead, which increased by X% to X tons in 2020. Total imports indicated temperate growth from 2007 to 2020: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2020 figures, imports increased by +X% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2020 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, unwrought lead imports declined to $X in 2020. The Czech Republic was also the fastest-growing in terms of the unwrought lead imports, with a CAGR of +X% from 2007 to 2020. At the same time, Greece (+X%) and Spain (+X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Belgium and Germany experienced a relatively flat trend pattern.
