In 2018, the amount of trucks exported in the European Union amounted to X units, going up by X% against the previous year. Overall, truck exports, however, continue to indicate a slight slump. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 with an increase of X% y-o-y. The volume of exports peaked at X units in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2018, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, truck exports amounted to $X in 2018. In general, truck exports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, truck exports attained their peak figure at $X in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2018, exports failed to regain their momentum.

Exports by Country

In 2018, France (X units), Germany (X units), Italy (X units) and Spain (X units) represented the key exporters of trucks in the European Union, constituting X% of total export. It was distantly followed by Belgium (X units) and Poland (X units), together achieving a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - the Netherlands (X units) and the UK (X units) - each recorded a X% share of total exports.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per unit), while Italy ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
