Exports in the EU

In 2022, shipments abroad of sorghum decreased by X% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed a measured expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of X%. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

In value terms, sorghum exports expanded notably to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a buoyant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Exports by Country

France was the major exporter of sorghum in the European Union, with the volume of exports accounting for X tons, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2022.
