Exports in the EU

For the eleventh consecutive year, the European Union recorded growth in overseas shipments of soft drinks, which increased by X% to X litres in 2022. Total exports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2012 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X%. The volume of export peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.

In value terms, soft drink exports reduced modestly to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated prominent growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by X%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

The biggest shipments were from Austria (X litres), Germany (X litres) and the Netherlands (X litres), together accounting for X% of total export. Poland (X litres) ranks next in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by France (X%), Italy (X%) and Belgium (X%). Spain (X litres), the Czech Republic (X litres), Hungary (X litres), Denmark (X litres), Romania (X litres) and Portugal (X litres) held a relatively small share of total exports.
