Exports in the EU
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was decline in shipments abroad of sanitary ware and parts of copper, when their volume decreased by X% to X tons. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons, leveling off in the following year.
In value terms, copper sanitary ware exports amounted to $X in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X%. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Exports by Country
In 2022, Germany (X tons) represented the major exporter of sanitary ware and parts of copper, creating X% of total exports. Belgium (X tons) took an X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Italy (X%), the Netherlands (X%), France (X%) and Romania (X%). Spain (X tons), Austria (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons), Sweden (X tons), Poland (X tons), Greece (X tons) and Portugal (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Exports from Germany increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Romania (X%), Belgium (X%), Greece (X%), France (X%), Poland (X%), Sweden (X%) and Austria (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Romania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. The Netherlands experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, the Czech Republic (X%), Italy (X%), Portugal (X%) and Spain (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Belgium (X p.p.), Germany (X p.p.), Romania (X p.p.), France (X p.p.) and Greece (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of the Czech Republic (X p.p.), Portugal (X p.p.), Spain (X p.p.) and Italy (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Germany ($X) remains the largest copper sanitary ware supplier in the European Union, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Italy ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Belgium, with a X% share.
In Germany, copper sanitary ware exports expanded at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Italy (X% per year) and Belgium (X% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in the European Union stood at $X per ton in 2022, approximately mirroring the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. In value terms, copper sanitary ware imports fell modestly to $X in 2022. Total imports indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by X% against 2015 indices. In 2022, the import price in the European Union amounted to $X per ton, flattening at the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of X%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the maximum in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
