Razor Market Size in the EU

The EU razor market skyrocketed to $X in 2022, with an increase of X% against the previous year. In general, consumption, however, continues to indicate a slight contraction. Over the period under review, the market reached the maximum level at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, consumption stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, razor exports expanded notably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. In 2022, Poland (X units) represented the main exporter of razors, making up X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Belgium (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Austria (X units) and France (X units), together committing a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Germany (X units) and Spain (X units) - together made up X% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to razor exports from Poland stood at X%. At the same time, Austria (X%), Spain (X%) and Belgium (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

The countries with the highest levels of razor imports in 2022 were Belgium (X units), Spain (X units), Poland (X units), France (X units) and Italy (X units), together accounting for X% of total import. Germany (X units) took the next position in the ranking, followed by the Czech Republic (X units). All these countries together held approx. X% share of total imports. In 2022, the import price in the European Union amounted to $X per unit, approximately equating the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a perceptible setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the import price increased by X%. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($X per unit), while Denmark ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
