Printing Press Exports

Exports in the EU

In 2022, exports of printing presses in the European Union rose remarkably to X units, picking up by X% against 2021. Total exports indicated a tangible expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports decreased by X% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X units in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, printing press exports contracted modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a perceptible setback. The shipments of the three major exporters of printing presses, namely the Netherlands, Italy and France, represented more than two-thirds of total export. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the export price increased by X% against the previous year. There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Spain ($X per unit), while Slovakia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, the amount of printing presses imported in the European Union reduced markedly to X units, shrinking by X% on the previous year. Over the period under review, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of X%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2020 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
