The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the export price increased by 67%. Over the period under review, the export prices attained the peak figure in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($X per ton), while Austria ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2021, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of natural calcium and aluminium phosphates, when their volume decreased by -16.8% to X tons. In general, imports saw a perceptible downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 9.7% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, Lithuania (X tons), distantly followed by Belgium (X tons), Spain (X tons), Bulgaria (X tons), Greece (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons) were the main importers of natural calcium and aluminium phosphates, together making up 80% of total imports. Italy (X tons) and Slovenia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

The import price in the European Union stood at $X per ton in 2021, jumping by 34% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, showed a noticeable curtailment. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per ton), while Greece ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
