In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of methyloxirane (propylene oxide), when their volume decreased by X% to X tons. Overall, exports continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tons in 2021, and then contracted markedly in the following year.

In value terms, propylene oxide exports reduced modestly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a pronounced decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The Netherlands represented the key exporting country with an export of about X tons, which amounted to X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Belgium (X tons), Germany (X tons) and France (X tons), together mixing up a X% share of total exports.

Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, propylene oxide imports expanded remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, imports saw a noticeable downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
