Exports in the EU
In 2022, overseas shipments of homogenised preparations of jams, fruit jellies and marmalades decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Total exports indicated a moderate increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports decreased by X% against 2020 indices. In value terms, homogenised jam and marmalade exports reduced to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a resilient expansion. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
Exports by Country
Spain was the major exporting country with an export of about X tons, which amounted to X% of total exports. Greece (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Italy (X tons), France (X tons), Poland (X tons) and the Netherlands (X tons). All these countries together took near X% share of total exports. Germany (X tons) held a minor share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to homogenised jam and marmalade exports from Spain stood at X%. At the same time, the Netherlands (X%), Italy (X%), Poland (X%), Greece (X%) and France (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Netherlands emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Germany experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. The export price in the European Union stood at $X per ton in 2022, increasing by X% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of X%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
