Austria (+11 p.p.), Finland (+9 p.p.) and Italy (+4.8 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Sweden, Belgium and Germany saw its share reduced by -4.2%, -6.6% and -16.4% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Germany ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported granules, chippings and powder of marble in the European Union, comprising 38% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Austria ($X), with an 11% share of total imports. It was followed by Finland, with a 10% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Germany totaled -3.4%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Austria (+29.0% per year) and Finland (+21.4% per year).
