Ginger Exports

Exports in the EU

After six years of growth, shipments abroad of ginger decreased by X% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a buoyant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.

In value terms, ginger exports fell rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a remarkable increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2021, and then reduced markedly in the following year.

Exports by Country

The Netherlands represented the main exporting country with an export of about X tons, which finished at X% of total exports. Germany (X tons) held a X% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Spain (X%). The following exporters - Poland (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) - each recorded a X% share of total exports.

Exports from the Netherlands increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Spain (X%), Germany (X%), Poland (X%) and Belgium (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Spain emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the European Union, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022.
