Poland, with a CAGR of +25.5%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The export price in the European Union stood at $X per unit in 2021, approximately equating the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the export price increased by 5.4%. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per unit), while Spain ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Denmark (-1.0%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in the EU

After five years of growth, purchases abroad of non-woven, felt and coated textile garments decreased by -16.5% to X units in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed strong growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 68%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units, and then shrank markedly in the following year.

In 2021, the import price in the European Union amounted to $X per unit, waning by -8.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a perceptible contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the import price increased by 14%. Over the period under review, import prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per unit), while Denmark ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
