Exports from Egypt

For the third consecutive year, Egypt recorded decline in overseas shipments of television receivers, which decreased by X% to X units in 2022. Overall, exports, however, enjoyed a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X units in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, television receiver exports fell significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, enjoyed a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2021, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.

The United Arab Emirates (X units), Saudi Arabia (X units) and Slovakia (X units) were the main destinations of television receiver exports from Egypt, together comprising X% of total exports.

In general, imports continue to indicate a noticeable decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, television receiver imports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw a abrupt shrinkage.
