The second position in the ranking was held by Kenya ($X), with a 0.8% share of total exports. It was followed by Nigeria, with a 0.3% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to France amounted to +77.5%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kenya (-35.8% per year) and Nigeria (-32.8% per year).

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 53%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

China (X tons), Germany (X tons) and India (X tons) were the main suppliers of hormones, prostaglandins, thromboxanes and leukotrienes imports to Egypt, with a combined 65% share of total imports.
