Grape Market Size in Egypt

The Egyptian grape market expanded sharply to $X in 2020, with an increase of X% against the previous year. In general, consumption saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The average grape export price stood at $X per tonne in 2020, picking up by X% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2010 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, export price attained the peak level of $X per tonne. From 2011 to 2020, the growth in terms of the average export prices failed to regain the momentum.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major export markets. In 2020, the highest prices were recorded for prices to Slovenia ($X per tonne) and Russia ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to the United Arab Emirates ($X per tonne) and Saudi Arabia ($X per tonne) were amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovenia, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2020, imports of grapes into Egypt soared to X tonnes, with an increase of X% against the previous year's figure. Overall, imports posted a buoyant expansion. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tonnes in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2020, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
