For the sixth consecutive year, Egypt recorded decline in shipments abroad of cationic surface-active agents (excluding soap), which decreased by X% to X kg in 2023. In general, exports recorded a sharp downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X tons. From 2015 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, cationic surface-active agents (excl. soap) exports amounted to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, exports recorded a dramatic descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Syrian Arab Republic (X kg) was the main destination for cationic surface-active agents (excl. soap) exports from Egypt, accounting for a X% share of total exports.
