Exports in Eastern Europe

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of woven fabrics of man-made filaments and staple fibers, when their volume decreased by X% to X square meters. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X square meters in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

In value terms, man-made filament fabric exports expanded notably to $X in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

The Czech Republic represented the major exporting country with an export of about X square meters, which reached X% of total exports. Romania (X square meters) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Poland (X square meters) and Lithuania (X square meters). All these countries together held near X% share of total exports. Bulgaria (X square meters), Russia (X square meters) and Belarus (X square meters) held a relatively small share of total exports.

Exports from the Czech Republic increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. In general, imports, however, showed strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by X%. The volume of import peaked at X square meters in 2021, and then declined in the following year.

In value terms, man-made filament fabric imports expanded significantly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when imports increased by X% against the previous year.
