Exports in Eastern Europe
In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of textile products and articles for technical uses, when their volume decreased by X% to X tons. Total exports indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.
In value terms, technical textiles exports dropped to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, posted a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2021, and then fell in the following year.
Exports by Country
Poland (X tons), the Czech Republic (X tons), Romania (X tons), Slovakia (X tons) and Hungary (X tons) represented roughly X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Russia (X tons), constituting a X% share of total exports. Lithuania (X tons) took a minor share of total exports.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.
In value terms, technical textiles imports dropped to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
