Exports in Eastern Europe

For the third consecutive year, Eastern Europe recorded growth in shipments abroad of spectrometers and spectrophotometers, which increased by X% to X units in 2022. Overall, exports enjoyed resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, spectrometers and spectrophotometers exports dropped modestly to $X in 2022. In general, exports posted a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then contracted slightly in the following year.

Exports by Country

The Czech Republic represented the largest exporter of spectrometers and spectrophotometers in Eastern Europe, with the volume of exports amounting to X units, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Hungary (X units) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Estonia (X units), Romania (X units), Russia (X units) and Poland (X units). All these countries together held approx. X% share of total exports. Lithuania (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Exports from the Czech Republic increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Romania (X%), Estonia (X%), Hungary (X%) and Poland (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Romania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. Russia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Lithuania (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The Czech Republic (X p.p.), Romania (X p.p.) and Estonia (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Poland, Hungary, Lithuania and Russia saw its share reduced by X%, X%, X% and X% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.

In value terms, the Czech Republic ($X) remains the largest spectrometers and spectrophotometers supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Hungary ($X), with an X% share of total exports. It was followed by Russia, with an X% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in the Czech Republic totaled X%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Hungary (X% per year) and Russia (X% per year).
