Semiconductor Device Exports

Exports in Eastern Europe

Semiconductor device exports shrank significantly to X units in 2022, declining by X% on the previous year. Overall, exports continue to indicate a mild reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, semiconductor device exports declined remarkably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, posted a modest increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2021, and then fell remarkably in the following year.

Exports by Country

In 2022, Poland (X units) was the key exporter of semiconductor devices, making up X% of total exports. Ukraine (X units) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Hungary (X units), Romania (X units), Slovakia (X units) and the Czech Republic (X units). All these countries together took approx. X% share of total exports.

Exports from Poland increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Romania (X%), Hungary (X%) and Slovakia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Romania emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Ukraine (X%) and the Czech Republic (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Poland (X p.p.), Romania (X p.p.), Hungary (X p.p.) and Slovakia (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Ukraine (X p.p.) and the Czech Republic (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest semiconductor device supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Ukraine ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with a X% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Poland amounted to X%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Ukraine (X% per year) and the Czech Republic (X% per year).

Export Prices by Country

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per unit in 2022, rising by X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price enjoyed a notable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the export price increased by X%. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
