Seat Market Size in Eastern Europe

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in the East European seat market, when its value decreased by X% to $X. Over the period under review, consumption, however, showed a strong increase. As a result, consumption reached the peak level of $X. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the market failed to regain momentum.

The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2021, and then fell in the following year.

In value terms, seat exports declined rapidly to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. Hungary (X units) and Slovakia (X units) held a minor share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to seat exports from Poland stood at X%. At the same time, Hungary (X%), the Czech Republic (X%), Lithuania (X%), Bulgaria (X%) and Romania (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of X%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units, and then contracted rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, seat imports reduced remarkably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, posted a tangible expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2021, and then fell markedly in the following year.

Imports by Country

In 2022, Poland (X units) and Russia (X units) were the major importers of seats in Eastern Europe, together constituting X% of total imports. The Czech Republic (X units) ranks next in terms of the total imports with a X% share, followed by Romania (X%), Hungary (X%) and Bulgaria (X%). Slovakia (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per unit), while Russia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
