Exports in Eastern Europe

For the third year in a row, Eastern Europe recorded growth in overseas shipments of sanitary ware and parts of copper, which increased by X% to X tons in 2022. Overall, exports posted a notable expansion. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, copper sanitary ware exports soared to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated a temperate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Exports by Country

In 2022, Romania (X tons), distantly followed by the Czech Republic (X tons), Poland (X tons), Belarus (X tons), Lithuania (X tons) and Bulgaria (X tons) were the largest exporters of sanitary ware and parts of copper, together comprising X% of total exports. The following exporters - Russia (X tons) and Estonia (X tons) - each reached a X% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the leading exporting countries, was attained by Romania (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.
