Exports in Eastern Europe
In 2023, reclaimed rubber exports in Eastern Europe surged to X tons, picking up by X% on the year before. In general, exports enjoyed a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked in 2023 and is likely to continue growth in years to come.
In value terms, reclaimed rubber exports soared to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, exports saw a remarkable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.
Exports by Country
Poland (X tons) and Belarus (X tons) were the largest exporters of reclaimed rubber in 2023, accounting for near X% and X% of total exports, respectively. The Czech Republic (X tons) ranks next in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by Hungary (X%) and Russia (X%).
From 2012 to 2023, the biggest increases were recorded for Hungary (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the Czech Republic ($X) remains the largest reclaimed rubber supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Poland ($X), with an X% share of total exports. It was followed by Belarus, with an X% share.

The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per ton in 2023, flattening at the previous year. Export price indicated a modest increase from 2012 to 2023: its price increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2023, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Czech Republic ($X per ton), while Belarus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Czech Republic (X%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Imports in Eastern Europe
In 2023, the amount of reclaimed rubber imported in Eastern Europe shrank to X tons, declining by X% against 2022 figures. Over the period under review, imports recorded a noticeable contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2023, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, reclaimed rubber imports dropped to $X in 2023. Overall, imports showed a slight curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2023, imports failed to regain momentum.
Imports by Country
In 2023, the Czech Republic (X tons) was the major importer of reclaimed rubber, constituting X% of total imports. Romania (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Russia (X tons), Slovakia (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Hungary (X tons). All these countries together took approx. X% share of total imports. Belarus (X tons) took a little share of total imports.
The Czech Republic experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of reclaimed rubber. At the same time, Hungary (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Hungary emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. By contrast, Romania (X%), Russia (X%), Slovakia (X%), Poland (X%) and Belarus (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of the Czech Republic (X p.p.), Hungary (X p.p.) and Romania (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2023, the share of Belarus (X p.p.), Russia (X p.p.), Slovakia (X p.p.) and Poland (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

Hungary, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
In 2023, the import price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per ton, almost unchanged from the previous year. Import price indicated temperate growth from 2012 to 2023: its price increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last eleven years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2023 figures, reclaimed rubber import price increased by X% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2022 an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked in 2023 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
