Exports in Eastern Europe
In 2022, after five years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of sauces and seasonings, when their volume decreased by X% to X tons. Total exports indicated buoyant growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2012 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X%. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.
In value terms, sauce and seasoning exports totaled $X in 2022. Total exports indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X%. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Poland represented the main exporter of sauces and seasonings in Eastern Europe, with the volume of exports reaching X tons, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2022. Russia (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a X% share, followed by the Czech Republic (X%) and Hungary (X%). The following exporters - Slovakia (X tons), Romania (X tons) and Estonia (X tons) - together made up X% of total exports.
Exports from Poland increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Romania (X%), Hungary (X%), Slovakia (X%), Russia (X%) and the Czech Republic (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. In value terms, Poland ($X) remains the largest sauce and seasoning supplier in Eastern Europe, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Russia ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Hungary, with a X% share.
In Poland, sauce and seasoning exports increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Russia (X% per year) and Hungary (X% per year).
