Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, the exports failed to regain momentum.

Russia was the largest exporter of phenols in Eastern Europe, with the volume of exports reaching X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2023. It was distantly followed by Poland (X tons), mixing up a X% share of total exports. The Czech Republic (X tons), Lithuania (X tons) and Estonia (X tons) took a relatively small share of total exports.

Exports from Russia decreased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2023. At the same time, Estonia (X%) and Lithuania (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Estonia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2023; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by X%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
