Percussion Musical Instrument Exports

Exports in Eastern Europe

In 2022, overseas shipments of percussion musical instruments increased by X% to X units, rising for the fourth year in a row after two years of decline. Overall, exports recorded significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, percussion musical instrument exports reduced to $X in 2022. In general, exports showed a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.

Exports by Country

Belarus represented the main exporting country with an export of about X units, which accounted for X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Poland (X units), the Czech Republic (X units), Russia (X units) and Lithuania (X units), together mixing up a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Slovakia (X units) and Latvia (X units) - together made up X% of total exports.

Belarus was also the fastest-growing in terms of the percussion musical instruments exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Russia (X%), Poland (X%), Latvia (X%), Lithuania (X%), Slovakia (X%) and the Czech Republic (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Belarus (X p.p.), Poland (X p.p.) and Russia (X p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while Slovakia, Lithuania and the Czech Republic saw its share reduced by X%, X% and X% from 2012 to 2022, respectively. Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in Eastern Europe amounted to $X per unit, which is down by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, enjoyed a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when the export price increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2021, and then declined sharply in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lithuania (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, approx. X units of percussion musical instruments were imported in Eastern Europe; picking up by X% on the previous year. Over the period under review, imports posted a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of X%. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Imports into Russia increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Hungary (X%), Belarus (X%), Slovakia (X%), Romania (X%), Poland (X%) and the Czech Republic (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Hungary emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. While the share of Hungary (X p.p.) and Slovakia (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of the Czech Republic (X p.p.) and Russia (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when the import price increased by X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($X per unit), while Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
