Newsprint Exports

Exports in Eastern Europe

For the third year in a row, Eastern Europe recorded decline in overseas shipments of newsprint, which decreased by X% to X tons in 2022. In general, exports recorded a noticeable slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, newsprint exports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a mild shrinkage. The level of export peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Russia prevails in exports structure, reaching X tons, which was near X% of total exports in 2022. Belarus (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
