The average leek yield surged to X tons per ha in 2022, with an increase of X% compared with the previous year's figure. The yield figure increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the yield reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term. Leek Exports

Exports in Eastern Europe

In 2022, exports of leeks and other alliaceous vegetables in Eastern Europe rose sharply to X tons, increasing by X% compared with the previous year's figure. Total exports indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Poland (X tons) was the major exporter of leeks and other alliaceous vegetables, making up X% of total exports. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by X% against 2020 indices. In terms of the main importing countries, Romania, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per ton in 2022, waning by X% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a abrupt setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the import price increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the import prices remained at a lower figure.
