Exports in Eastern Europe

In 2023, overseas shipments of glues based on starches, dextrins or other modified starches decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the second year in a row after five years of growth. In general, exports, however, saw a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2021; however, from 2022 to 2023, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, starch glue exports dropped to $X in 2023. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a tangible expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2022 to 2023, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

The Czech Republic (X tons) and Ukraine (X tons) were the major exporters of glues based on starches, dextrins or other modified starches in 2023, finishing at near X% and X% of total exports, respectively.
