Gloves Exports

Exports in Eastern Europe

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was decline in overseas shipments of gloves, mittens and mitts, when their volume decreased by X% to X pairs. Overall, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X pairs in 2021, and then fell in the following year.

In value terms, gloves exports shrank to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X, and then reduced in the following year.

The Czech Republic (X pairs) and Poland (X pairs) were the largest exporters of gloves, mittens and mitts in 2022, reaching approx. X% and X% of total exports, respectively. In 2022, supplies from abroad of gloves, mittens and mitts increased by X% to X pairs, rising for the fifth year in a row after five years of decline. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.
