Ceramic Tile Exports
Exports in Eastern Europe
After two years of growth, shipments abroad of ceramic tiles decreased by X% to X square meters in 2022. Overall, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X square meters in 2021, and then contracted markedly in the following year.
In value terms, ceramic tile exports shrank to $X in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2021, and then reduced in the following year.
Exports by Country
Poland was the main exporter of ceramic tiles in Eastern Europe, with the volume of exports amounting to X square meters, which was approx. X% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Belarus (X square meters), the Czech Republic (X square meters), Bulgaria (X square meters) and Russia (X square meters), together comprising a X% share of total exports. Ukraine (X square meters) held a minor share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to ceramic tile exports from Poland stood at X%. At the same time, Bulgaria (X%), Russia (X%), Belarus (X%) and the Czech Republic (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Bulgaria emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Eastern Europe, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Ukraine (X%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Poland (X p.p.), Bulgaria (X p.p.), Russia (X p.p.), Belarus (X p.p.) and the Czech Republic (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Ukraine (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
In value terms, Poland ($X), Russia ($X) and the Czech Republic ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, together comprising X% of total exports.
Poland, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The export price in Eastern Europe stood at $X per square meter in 2022, jumping by X% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of X%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Russia ($X per square meter), while Belarus ($X per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
